ENGAGED: Piano Man Billy Joel, 56, proposed to girlfriend Katie Lee, 26,

Billy Joel is not 56, he's 54. Katie isn't 26, she's 23.

No she's not. She's 22 and SMOKIN' hot. And any straight man who whines
about this is damn hypocrite because if they were loaded and famous like
Billy Joel they'd likely do the same thing.

but what does that say about this girl and most girls? I hate to say it, but
women today are basically whores. Many men are going to find out one of
these days that their little honey of a wife has probably made it with an
athlete, singer, or actor while they were lucky to kiss a 50 year old bar
maid.

I strongly disagree. I am a 37yo woman, and each one of my female
friends, who are all 40yo or younger, make fun of men that have a lot
of money and use it to entice women. This 22yo that married Joel is
the exception, not the rule. I am personally tired of men with money
that hit on me because of my appearance; so nice they think women can
be "bought". Personally, I have found women in their late 40's-50's
to be the biggest prostitutes around.

I think a lot of women are getting careers, every where. I also think some
are getting careers for the reason that if they are a SAHM, they get
criticized like this isn't enough for them to do. Women having careers is
making wealthy men have less of a selection to choose from if they are
assholes. Of course, a lot can come on sweet and turn out to be assholes
later on, but that goes with all men. I think CA and NY would be top on the
list of career women.

Do you just use a potato peeler? Those
suckers are hard to
peel.
***Serious question. No "funny" replies***

Well, you were right. There were no funny replies.

[...]

See what happens when you just ask nicely??

Yes. The same thing that would have happened anyway
(in this newsgroup
[i.e., nobody makes a funny reply]) happens.

Please elaborate.

This is a newsgroup in which none of the replies made
are ever funny.
Thus,
if you ask nicely for nobody to make a funny reply,
nobody will make a
funny
reply, which is exactly what would have happened even if
you hadn't asked
nicely that nobody make a funny reply (because nobody
makes a funny reply
in
this newsgroup regardless of whether anybody asks them
nicely [or in any
other manner] not to do so [that is, not to make a funny
reply]).

Thank you.

I still don't get it, what do we need for humor? I know,
how about someone's ass glued to a toilet seat!

No. Just... no.
