Unfortunately, that's not available outside the UK.

Yes, it is ironic that none of the three of us (now back in our
respective countries) can listen to the sounds of our own voices.
FWIW, 40 mins. would be about half of the material we recorded,

It was amusingly un-edited: Robert W asking the producer in the booth
whether there was time for another question, then giving a brief pause
for the edit, which never happened. And the joking at the start about
which studio you were in etc.

Can somebody maybe do an MP3 or something for Jerry and the others out
of UK? I'd do it, but am still at the remedial stage of working out
copying. Is the best thing a combination of AIFF and Wiretap ? Any
recommendations?

And if you don't use Windows you're SOL in the UK, I think. I gave
up on the BBC's website long ago.

Was that a clever allusion to the bit of studio dialogue in Hymnen?

Works absolutely fine on my macbooks.

I have managed to download things from BBC like Hear and Now using something
free called iPlayer Downloader for OSX.
I couldn't work out to grab the "Stockhausen Summit" link though and when I
last looked it had mysteriously disappeared.

and Bayan Northcott wrote this in the Independent re: Urantia -

"..a projection of shapeless soprano phrases through a many-layered
spiralling of juddering electronic pulses, at oppressive volume. Amid
the 20-minute tumult, one thought almost fondly of Pascal's saying:
"The silence of infinite space terrifies me."

Wasn't he the same guy who was banging on about the volume of Cosmic
Pulses at the Proms this summer?

I only heard the broadcast of Urantia - did it sound excessively loud
in the QEH?

It did not. In fact, I thought it a little on the quiet side. Of
course, if you really dislike the piece, even Cage's 4'33" may be
"oppressively loud".

The description suggests that Mr Northcott may have decided in advance
that he was not going to like the piece, and so saved himself the
trouble of actually entering the hall. He also cannot have read my
programme notes, since even that would have made clear that there are
no soprano "phrases", shapeless or otherwise, and the "many"
electronic layers total exactly three. "Juddering" is not a word I
would have thought appropriate to the piece as I heard it but, since
it means "vibrating with intensity", I suppose it is just another
synonym for "oppressive volume" and "tumult".

I've just tried linking to the Hear and Now "Listen Again" soundfiles,
which have always worked for me before, but I am getting an error
message (same result on two different computers):

RealPlayer: Requested file not found. The link you followed may be
outdated or inaccurate.
rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk:554/radio3/hearandnow.ra?timestamp=1226925721&pid=b00fgzt2&BBC-UID=34c863071325c7399dd8cc312060287277c466c160d0b1e444cf06bf90145f95&SSO2-UID
Is anybody else having this problem? (That concluding equal sign looks
suspicious to me.)

I received the same error message, and like you, after trying on two
different computers with two different operating systems. I assume the
real problem is that we are both attempting to access the file from an
IP address outside the UK.

Would someone living in the UK kindly record the programme and post it
for us foreigners?

By the way, as most of you are surely aware, Kathinka sent out an
email two days ago with a link to the programme. I wonder if she can
access it in Kürten.

Here you find my recording of the programma itself, in one mp3-file, nearly
90 minutes. Between the music there is some comment.
After the programma I heard an announcement about a discussion that wasn't
broadcasted, but could be downloaded from the bbc-site. I didn't find it
there.

Thanks a lot from all us foreigners!

and thanks from a Brit who's still not worked out how to stream to an
MP3 .
It's great to have these pieces.

BTW - I wonder if Paul Mccartney will get the legal go-ahead to
release this "Stockhausen-influenced" piece from the 60s he's been
talking about.
