Could one of our French speaking group members give the rest of us a
brief summary of this, not so much what Carter says - he usually says
the same thing about hearing Le Marteau get 55 rehearsals by Rosbaud,
and how great a conductor Boulez is - but more what is said about any
future projects Boulez may be undertaking, or when he might release a
new work?

Boulez said nothing about new works. The interview was mainly focused
on his conductor career and the current concerts and exhibitions in
the Louvre. About Carter, Boulez said he was one of the greatest
creators of the 20th (and 21st) century and that he was amazed by the
fact he was still composing at 100. He said he met him a few months
ago in New York and that he will conduct one of Carter's new works
with Barenboim in Vienna soon. The journalist who interviewed Carter
saiid that Carter said to her he was working on a new work...

The interview was quite joyful and PB slightly ironic from time to
time.

There will be another PB interview on France Musique on the November
16 in a comtemporary music program, he will pehaps say something about
upcoming creations...
