Friends,
Last March, I had the pleasure of serving on a panel discussion at the
very hot SXSW Interactive Festival. The focus of our panel discussion
addressed the impact of the Internet and digital communications on
America's minority populations, and how digital technologies act as
tools for cultural exploration and social mobility. The response to
our 2007 panel presentation has encouraged us to re-up for this coming
year's SXSW program.
The panel consists of Liza Sabater, owner of the blog space
CultureKitchen, Deborah Scranton, an award winning filmmaker ( The War
Tapes), Mini Kahlon, and myself. (We'll throw in a little surprise
this time around... young minority representatives in a live
SecondLife panel accompaniment)
I'd like your help in supporting our panel proposal by going to the
Panel Picker application, searching on "Digital Ethnorati 2.0" and
giving us your vote. (And encourage your friends to pick our panel,
as well.)
The voting process for the 2008 Panel Picker closes at 11:59 pm
Central Standard Time on Friday evening, September 21.
Thanks. See you in Austin!
