This weekend saw some very interesting stories come through my stack
of stuff. Among them were several recap stories on some major events
that have occured in music education over the last few
months. It will take me a few days to get through them all, but I
lead off today with a story about a band trip that ended prematurely.
I first posted the news story about this terrible crash last
week, but over the weekend a journalist published a VERY well done
story that not only tells the story, it shows it to you as well,
complete with many touching photographs. Even if you read the story
last week, you really should read this one as well.

I have been busy at MusicEdMagic lately, and after a lot of thinking
and testing I have reopened the music education question and answer
